There are many free on-line resources to address workplace hazards. Primary sources are the Ontario Ministry of Labour for hazard-specific alerts, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) for general prevention information, and Ontario's Health and Safety Associations for sector and hazard-specific resources.

On some sites you'll find free downloads that would be helpful for job research or studying hazards. Here's where to start:

Ontario Ministry of Labour occupational health and safety publications, legislation and alerts: www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/hs/pubs/index.php
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Look under the headings "Prevention" and "Workers": www.wsib.on.ca
The Ontario health and safety associations, funded by the WSIB, provide training programs, products and services to the province's employers and workers: www.wsib.on.ca/wsib/wsibsite.nsf/public/HealthSafetyCommunity#HSA
